PA POWER CLUB INFORMATION

PA Power is a club organized to develop field hockey skills during the winter months in an indoor facility. The game is a little different than outdoor and requires an indoor stick but only if playing in USA indoor tournaments, otherwise you may use an outdoor stick. The majority of our membership is formed from females in the Selinsgrove Area School District that have a desire to improve field hockey skills as well as playing in indoor tournaments.

Our club will provide indoor training approximately one time a week and playing opportunities/tournaments if you so desire.

Age Divisions:  U12, U14, U16 & U19.

?  U12 (8, 9, 10 & 11 yrs old)  U14 (12 & 13 yrs old) U16 (14 & 15 yrs old)  U19 (16, 17 & 18 yrs old)

?  Division are determined by age on December 31, 2016 - example: If you are 15 as of 12/31/16 you will be in the U16 division. (under 16) If you are 16 as of 12/31/16 you will be in the U19 (under 19) division.

Club enrollment fee

? U12 - $75        U14 - $125    U16 & U19 - $140

  Included in your enrollment:

-        A minimum of 8 practices

-        Playdays (mini tournaments)

-        Additional opportunity for tournament participation (not required, require additional fee)

-        Potential selection to an NIT (National Indoor Tournament) qualifying team

-        Pa Power game pinnie

The club will post/email tournaments we plan to attend, then you choose tournaments you would like to attend. (you do not have to participate in any tournaments) After we have a list of players then we will choose players to attend each tournament. There will be times when we can't take everyone to tournaments.  You will pay a fee for each tournament which is determined by the cost of that tournament.  (see below)

 Selection to the NIT (National Indoor Tournament) qualifying teams will incur additional costs.  There will be a few separate practices for this group.  We will enter 2 - U19 teams, 2 - U16 teams & 1-U14 team selected by skill.  If any team qualifies for the NIT, there will be additional costs.

Club practices:  will be held in the Middle School gym. Practices will begin in December.

?  U12 & U14 - most Sundays, afternoon times

?  U16 & U19 - most Wednesday or Thursday evenings

** other times could be added or changed depending on the availability of our middle school gym.

Other Costs:  Most Tournaments cost $30 - $40, depending on cost of tournament, NIT Qualifiers $60.
